Tadeusz Majewski

Tadeusz Tad Majewski, 97, of Rockford, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 in Alma Nelson Manor. Born December 7, 1910 in Lublin, Poland. Married Alice Monczka, she predeceased him on May 9, 2001. Tad worked for Ford Motor Co. in Detroit until 1953 when he moved to Rockford and worked for Ingersoll as a Mechanical Engineer. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, and was an usher for many years. And was a past member of the Rockford Mens Garden Club. Survivors include his sons, Gregory (Linda) Majewski of Rockford; Michael (Linda) Majewski of Sacramento, CA; daughter, Krystyna (Frank Gamundoy) Majewski. Predeceased by his parents and wife. Special thanks to the staff at Fairview Residence for their loving care. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00a.m.on Monday, July 28, 2008 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Peters officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation to be held from 9 to 10am Monday at the church prior to the service.
