Terrie Edwards

Terrie Lynne Edwards 62 of Roscoe, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away Sunday April 21, 2013 in her home. She fought a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 22, 1950 in Dixon , the daughter of Everett and Louise Byrd. Terrie grew up and spent her childhood in Polo, IL, graduating from Polo High School in 1968. She married Donald Edwards on March 20, 1993 in Rockton at the Church by the Side of the Road. She proudly worked for 26+ years at Rockford Memorial Hospital, most recently as Manager of Computer Training.
Member of Rockton United Methodist Church, Sisters in Christ, Battery G Civil War Reenactors Group, Rockford Health System 20 Year Club, and quilted often with friends. We will forever be reminded of Terrie each time we see a beautiful garden, an exquisitely handmade quilt, little girls' frilly dresses, hear Scarlet O'Hara exclaim 'I'll think about that tomorrow' or are forced to play a game or participate in a group sing we complain is silly only to discover how much fun we have.
Survivors include her husband Donald. Two sons, Shawn Johnson of Colorado Springs, CO and Matthew Wolf of Norfolk, VA. Two step daughters, Sarah (Kerry) Lindroth of Eau Claire, WI and Erika (AJ) Petter of Janesville, WI. Five grandchildren, Erica Johnson, Anthony and Annabelle Wolf and Jonah and Gavin Wolf. Two brothers, Robert (Cindy) Byrd of Oregon, Michael (Karla) Byrd of Sterling. Three sisters, Trudy (Jim) Fleming, Tena (Drew) Terry and Tami Byrd all of Polo and her sister-in-law Joyce Byrd, Orona MN. Many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and her brother David Byrd.
Memorial service at 10am Friday April 26, 2013 in Rockton United Methodist Church 102 West Chapel Street, Rockton, IL 61072. Visitation from 9am until service time Friday in the church.
