Theresa Vollmer

Theresa Vollmer, 52, of Rockford, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 at Alden Park Strathmoor. Born May 24, 1965 in Rockford the daughter of Alfred and Frances (Sager) Vollmer. Theresa was a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School and had worked at Atwood for several years. She moved to the Florida Keys and had lived there for over 10 years. She truly loved Florida where she could swim, bike, walk the beaches and just relax after a hard day of working as a cook at several places. Theresa made a huge decision to move back to Illinois to care for her mother when she fell ill. She was a fun loving, caring and kind person who would do anything for anyone in need.
She is survived by her sisters, Donna Lashock and Ann Melton; nieces and nephews, David, Deanna, Darren, Dean, Michael (Nicole) and Stephen; great nephew, M.J. and special friend, Becky Vesely. Preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Brad Lashock.
Funeral Mass Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Cathedral of St. Peter with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. in lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
