Thomas G. Mcneany

Thomas Gregory McNeany, 81, of Rockford passed away September 7, 2016 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 4, 1935 in Rockford, the son of Raymond and Margaret McNeany. He graduated from St. Thomas High School, class of 1953, and went on to get his degree at NIU before serving in The United States Marine Corp. He married his high school sweetheart, Geri Zeppin, on July 3, 1954. After a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry he founded Business Cards Tomorrow, a print and design company. Tom enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, as well as fishing and golfing. He also loved travel, Tom and his wife and friends enjoyed many trips to Mexico and Europe. One of his favorite trips was their cruise to Italy, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
Tom will be greatly missed by his friends and family. Survivors include his wife Geri. Five children, Cindy (Joe) Weber, Patrick (Agatha) McNeany, Kevin McNeany, Karen (Lance) Novak, and Thomas (Toni) McNeany Jr. and Toni's children, Cole and Gilly. Grandchildren, Chris (Tenille), Kate, Alex & Drew Weber, Angela (Ryan) Walter, Nick (Divya) McNeany, Erik (Heather), Brad & Jenna Novak, and Devyn McNeany. Great grandchildren, Elise, Greyson, & Emery Weber, and Oliver & Summer Novak. Predeceased by his parents. Special thanks to Dr. Roy and all of the nurses and staff of the VNA Hospice, especially Brian and Traci.
A visitation will be held from 3pm until 4:45p on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 with a memorial service following at 5pm, both at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Road.
