Thomas Lepore, 83, of Belvidere, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011. Born on March 1, 1928 in Chicago; the son of Venanzio amp; Carmela (Ruggiero) Lepore. Married Janet (Cline) Lepore on May 1, 1948. Tom served in the Army during the Korean War. He was employed by the Chicago Police Department for 30 years, retiring in 1988. Toms hobby was as a master clock maker and above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his wife, Janet of 63 years.

Survivors include wife, Janet; children, Thomas V. (Deborah Shaddon) Lepore of Wheaton, IL and Karen C. Lepore of Geneva, IL; grandchildren, Timothy, Kevin and Annie Lepore; sister, Luigina Stoltzner; brotherinlaw, Angelo Gambino and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Amelia DeMarco and Jennie Gambino and brotherinlaw, Anthony DeMarco.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford. Burial in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. on Thursday, November 17 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel and will continue on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4312 East State St. Rockford, IL 61108.
