Timothy J. McSweeney, 48, of Rockford, died suddenly, Monday, November 15, 2010 at Swedish American Hospital. Born Dec. 5, 1961 in Rockford, the son of Thomas and Joan (Cherichetti) McSweeney. Tim was a 1979 graduate of West High School where he played on the varsity tennis team. He went on to attend Rock Valley College and was a proud graduate. He worked several years as an Independent Living Counselor for RAMP and also hosted the post polio support group. Tim was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his favorite team, the Green Bay Packers. nbsp;Survivors include his mother, Joan of Rockford; brothers, Michael of CA, Patrick (Gail) of Wheaton and Steven of Rockford; aunt, Sister Jean McSweeney; uncle, Mike (Louise) McSweeney; nephew, Kevin McSweeney and several cousins and friends. nbsp;He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas in 1972. He was a wonderful person with a great outlook on life and he will be missed by all.

Funeral Mass, Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2330 Bell Ave at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
