Timothy Lee Carter, loving father, and devoted husband, left his worn-out body behind on Aug 15, 2022. He was preceded by his mother Juanita and father Joe. He left behind his wife Pamela Carter, children Theresa and Brian.
Tim graduated Auburn High School 1971 and then when to Rock Valley College to receive his Aircraft Mechanic Certification and Associates of Science Degree. Being the industrious man he was, he quickly opened an aircraft maintenance shop at the Rockford airport.
Pam and Tim married in 1975 and only a year later had their amazing son Brian. Four years later they had their adorable daughter Theresa. Tim always worked for his family, whether at home or at his job. He was always seeking to advance his career in the aeronautics industry, mostly to better provide for his family. When he came home from work, he somehow always had some time to wrestle and play with his adoring children. Never did a man have a bigger heart.
At age 58, he went back to school to get his Bachelor of Science degree. Tim’s love of learning was equal to his ability mending most things. “I can fix anything but a broken heart”, you might have heard him say once or twice. Pretty much anyone could ask him for help learning to fix what was needed.
A tool was never far from his hand on the farm. He loved the horses and riding. Together, Tim and Pam loved trail rides, camping and especially their time at the cabin up north. He cared deeply about all the people in his life and loved to help. He was also proudly a member of the Knights of Columbus.
His greatest frustration at the end of life was that he couldn't help as much as he wanted. His love, the antics, and the resource that he was, will sadly be missed by a great many people.
A visitation is being held at Saint Bernadette Community Hall on August 26th, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
A mass and reception will be held for Tim and family shortly after. Please send any donations to Fitzgerald Funeral Home.
We would enthusiastically love for everyone to share any memories, thoughts, Tim quotes, and photos!
