Troy "Tj" Olson Jr.

Troy "TJ" R. Olson Jr., 31, heartbreakingly passed away on March 7, 2023. Born in Rockford, Illinois on March 29, 1991 son to Troy Olson Sr. and Angela Cummings, Troy went on to graduate from Stillman Valley High School class of 2009. He soon after joined the U.S. Navy and once returning home worked a few different jobs, most recently as a tow truck driver. He was enthusiastic about working on cars, watching Nascar, or cheering on the Bears football team. He mostly enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.

He will be survived by his former spouse Anna Chance; daughter Sophia; mother Angela (Virgil) Toepfer III; his siblings Cody Olson, Tyler Hodges, Torynn Danielewicz, Starr List, Huntyrr Bomkamp, Kyle Toepfer and Taylor (Alex) Geiseman; grandparents Steve (Heidi) Cummings, Sandra Olson, and Virgil (Rosalie) Toepfer Jr.; his uncles Michael (Erin) Cummings, Terry Olson, Todd Olson, Teddy (Andre’a) Berry, Cynthia Moffitt, Tony Toepfer and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Troy Robert Olson Sr. and grandfather, Harvey Olson.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Funeral service will take place the following day, Wednesday March 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Rockford, Illinois.
