Virginia L. Schnidt

Virginia L. Schnidt, 94, of Loves Park, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Born in Belvidere, on March 1, 1922, daughter of Walter and Emma (Critchett) Lincoln. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1940. She had previously been employed at Weise’s and Blue Ribbon Distributing Company. Virginia was an avid volunteer at Swedish American Hospital and River Bluff Nursing Home. She also volunteered for 10 years in Senator Joyce Holmberg’s office. She was a member of Word Weavers and Wildflower Garden Club.
Survivors include her daughters, Deborah (Roger) Erickson and Candace (Brad) Meisenburg; grandchildren, David (Michelle) Thomas and Darcy Sartino; special friends, Sara and Jim Jones. Predeceased by parents, husband, Ray Schnidt, sister, Helen and brother, Dr. Robert Lincoln.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 North Rockton Avenue.
