Virginia M. Reints

Virginia M. Reints, 94, of Rockford passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Swedish American Hospital. Born October 12, 1917 in Rochelle, the daughter of Arthur and Hattie (LaBarr) Ward. She was a graduate of Rochelle High School in 1935. Virginia married George A. Reints on June 8, 1940 and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1998. She was a registered nurse at Copley Hospital in Aurora and a nurse at Barber Colman for 20 years. Long time active member of 3 rd Presbyterian Church. Following retirement, she and George wintered in Bradenton, Florida. She was active in Girl Scouts, loved playing Bingo and had a love for animals and birds. Virginia was nurturing and loved by everyone she knew.Survived by daughters, Trudy D. (Gilbert) Styles and R. Dawn (Larry) Bergquist; Lisa (Jim) Young, daughterinlaw, Debra Reints of Belvidere; grandchildren, Gerald (Tami) Styles, Gregory (Christy) Styles, Amy (Larry) Archuleta, Melissa Bergquist, Mary Bergquist, Gabriel (Mariya) Stewart, Holly ReintsLyman, Geoff (Keli) Reints and Jeremy Young; greatgrandchildren, Logan, Lori, Samantha, Natalie, Emilio, Austin, Neveah, Olivia, Allison, Katrina, Kaleb, Austin; several nieces and nephews including niece, June (Paul) Schmidt and cousin, Dorothy Riley. Predeceased by parents, son, Gary A. Reints in 2004, brother, Fred Ward, sisters, Ardella Alberty and Verna Warfield, granddaughter Lori K. Bergquist.Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13 at 3 rd Presbyterian Church, 1221 Custer Ave. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday at the church. Memorial donations may be given to charity of choice in Virginia's name.
