Waclaw "Walter" Lukaszewski

Waclaw “Walter” Lukaszewski 91 of Rockford passed away Sunday October 4, 2015 in his home. He was born November 1, 1923 in Poland, the son of Adam and Alexandra Lukaszewski. He married Helena Soltysik-Lukaszewski on February 4, 2004. His first wife Lily predeceased him in 1994. He worked at Greenlee for 26 years, retiring in 1990. Member of St. Stanislaus Church.
Survivors include his wife Helena. Children, Diane (Mike) Roggie of Rockford, Les (Allison) Lukaszewski of Wayne, IL. Grandchildren, Lisa and Dan of Chicago and Mark (Natalie) of Washington DC. Sister, Celina Kopcio of Rockford. Sister-in-law, Teresa of Roscoe. Step-children, Marian Soltyslk of Davis, IL, yadzia (Ed) Holmes of Fisher, IN and Anna (Todd) Cowden of Batavia, IL. Step- grandchildren, Steven, Ryan, Scott, Katy and Casey. Predeceased by his parents, first wife, Lily. Grandson, Adam Roggie. Brothers, Frank, Benny, Ted, Marian and Joe. Sisters, Genevieve and Jadwiga.
Funeral Mass at 10am Wednesday October 7, 2015 in St Stanislaus Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday October 6, 2015 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 1860 S.
