Walter N. Olk, Jr., 80, of Loves Park, died May 3, 2007, in Colorado Springs, CO, after a short illness. He was born July 23, 1926, in Racine, WI to Walter N., Sr. and Mabel (Boland) Olk. He married Bernice Klimowicz on April 23, 1949, in Racine, WI. He was employed by J. I. Case Company as Assembly Forman and was transferred to Rockford in 1956. He was employed as an Industrial Engineer for Wood amp; Brooks and various places in the Rockford area. He retired in 1990 and worked part-time for Loglis Supermarkets until 1996. He served in WWII with the 511 Parachute Infantry Regiment 11 A/B Division Asiatic-Pacific Theater. He will be missed by his children, Sandra (Robert) Ealey of Las Vegas, NV, David (Jane) Olk of Colorado Springs, CO, Sharon (Robert) Harring of Pewaukee, WI, and Thomas (Jenni) Olk, five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, one cousin, two nephews and numerous friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice, on June 24, 1992, and by his parents and two sisters.nbsp; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave., Loves Park, with the family receiving visitors from 9:30 a.m. to service time; Father Brian Olsen will officiate.
