William "Bill" J. Weber

William “Bill” J. Weber, 87, Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Medina Nursing Home in Durand. He was born May 7, 1935, in Chicago, the son of George and Marie (Knapp) Weber. Bill served in the Air Force from 1952 until 1956 and in the Navy from 1957 until 1958. He was an administrator at Rock Valley College for many years until his retirement. While at Rock Valley, Bill served as an advisor to the Veteran’s Club.

Survived by his daughter, Jes A. Weber; his brother, Dan Weber, his sister, Betty Mae Weber; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Weber and Marge (Jarosekas) Greenberg; his God daughter, Judy (Weber) Zoellick; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his soulmate, Rae (Jarosekas) Weber, his parents, his brother, George M. Weber, his sister-in-law, Char Weber, and his brother-in-law, Dennis Greenberg.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Bill’s life will be scheduled at a later date. Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory assisted the family. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
