William G. Talbott, 84Loving Husband, Dad and Grandpa William G. Talbott, 84, Byron, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Serenity Home, Oregon, IL. Born May 13, 1926 in Centralia, son of James and Gladys M. Tresenrider Talbott. Graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelors degree in engineering and was a veteran of the US Navy. Rockford area resident since 1953. Married Joanne D. Peterson in Rockford on July 17, 1981. Retired in 1984 from Rockford Clutch as Manager of Engineering. Member of Brooke Road United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joanne; children, Kevin (Debbie) Talbott, Steven (Kim) Talbott, Stephanie (Aaron) Vescova; grandchildren, Briana, A.J., Will and Michael Vescova; sister, Anne Green; brother, Robert Dean (Alice) Talbott and numerous nieces and nephews. Predecased by his parents; son, William L. Talbott; brother James (Ida) Talbott and sister, Jean (Dean) Campbell. Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 in Brooke Road United Methodist Church with Rev. Christopher Druce Jones officiating. Memorial visitation from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
