William J. Church

William J. Bill Church, 59, Rockford, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011, in SwedishAmerican Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 13, 1951, in Rockford, the son of Lester and Olivia (Sullivan) Church.nbsp; He was a 1969 graduate of Rockford West High School.nbsp; Bill married Marcia L. Plambeck in Freeport on August 25, 1973. He was a veteran of the Navy. He worked for Gerald Guse since 1972, mostly at LTM in the water treatment business and thought of all his co-workers as family.nbsp; Bill was an active member of Beth Eden United Methodist Church. He loved to travel, enjoyed watching movies and was an avid fan of all sports.nbsp; Bill coached girls cross country at Auburn High School for 12 years and was called Coacha by his team family.
Survived by his loving wife, Marcia; children, Cory (Nicki Harker) Church, Kelcey (Tim) Kast, Megan Church, all of Rockford, and Erin Church of Chicago; grandchildren, Alex Church, Logan and Liam Kast; sister, Marilyn Wallen of Rockton, brothers-in-law, Mike (Harry Sutton) Plambeck and Bill (Lauri) Plambeck, many nieces, nephews, and cousins including Greg (Wendi) Wallen, Olivia Wallen, Joe, Stephen, and Mitch Plambeck.nbsp; Predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law, Tom Wallen, and mother-in-law, Shirley Plambeck.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, on Friday, March 4, 2011, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. Rockford, IL 61103, with cremation rites accordednbsp; after the visitation.nbsp; A memorial service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3201 Huffman Blvd, with Pastors Doug Bowden amp; Eric Blachfordnbsp;officiating.nbsp; A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00am until service time at the church on Saturday.nbsp; Memorial gifts may be made to Beth Eden United Methodist Church or to the family for a memorial to be established later.nbsp; Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.nbsp;nbsp;
