William P. Tehan

William ""?Bill P. Tehan, 79, of Rockton died at 10:10p.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born August 7, 1928 in Rock Falls, IL; son of William Tehan and Evelyn Sweeney. Served in the U.S. Army in occupation troops in Korea until 1948. Married Patricia EauClaire in Loves Park on May 5, 1951. Bill worked in sales for Colonial Bakery for several years then at Geraghty Industrials before working in real estate sales with Century 21. He was a charter member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and he loved spending time with his family. He was an exceptionally dedicated husband, and an extraordinary father and grandfather. Survivors include wife Pat; children, Mike (Janet) Tehan of Rockton, Kim (Brian Gwizdale) Tehan of Aurora, Mikki (Art) Yates of Winnebago and Stephanie (David) Patterson of Lanark; grandchildren, Katie Tehan, Jimmy Tehan, Anna Tehan, Tina Tehan, Ben Patterson and Alexa Patterson; brother, Stan (Kay) Tehan and sister-in-law, Ede EauClaire. Predeceased by parents; brother, Jim and 3 young sisters. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00a.m. on Tuesday, April 15 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Fr. Dan Peters officiating. Entombment in Calvary Mausoleum. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:00a.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Bernadette Catholic Church or to the charity of choice.
