Yolanda J. Doyle

Yolanda J. Doyle, 86 of Rockford died peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at River Bluff Nursing Home. She was born July 20, 1927 in Rockford the daughter of Frank and Ercelia Mioni. Worked for Western Electric, Illinois Bell and AT&T as a telephone operator for 30 years. Yolanda married Edward "Bud" Doyle and together they enjoyed many years of traveling all over the world, going to the movies and they loved Broadway shows and musicals seeing them in New York, Chicago and right here at home at the Starlight Theatre. She was a member of the Venetian Club, the Rock River Valley Blood Center and she helped out the Kiwanis Club when Bud was the president. Yolanda was always involved with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved them all immensely. Her family remembers her homemade spaghetti and how much fun she had making it for Sunday family dinners. She was a wonderful, fun, kind and caring person who will be greatly missed by all of her adoring family and friends. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to River Bluff Nursing Home nurses and staff, especially, Paula, Kathy, Christy, Tim, Veronica, Alex and Cheryl.
Survivors include her daughter, Leslie Hanson; grandchildren, Noelle Tulley, Kyle Bryden, Tricia (Doug) Metz, Carrie Doner and Brandon Hanson; great grandchildren, Ashlei, Linsey, Aiden, Makayla, Daniel, Cameron, Kayla and Meagan; brother, Anthony (Anita) Mioni and sister, Eleanor Marinelli and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Frank A. Hanson, 1967; her son, Jim Hanson in 2008; her second husband "Bud' in 2010 and a sister.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Visitation Monday, January 13, 2014 from 4-6 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Entombment will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name to the Venetian Club, 2180 Elmwood Rd. Rockford, IL 61103.
