Andrew J. Collett

Andrew "AJ" J. Collett, 79, of Rockford, passed away on October 28, 2025, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. AJ was born on April 29, 1946, in Chicago, the son of Ernest and Irene (Madilinsky) Collett. He worked in maintenance at Motorola for 40 years. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved his setup of Model Trains. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his rose bushes. AJ frequently visited Alpine View restaurant. 

He is survived by his sister, Sharon Hood; friend & waitress at Alpine View, Crystal; and next door neighbor, Justin. He is predeceased by his parents; 2 sisters, Phyllis Kirmse and Margaret Heider; brother, Ken Collett; and brother-in-law, Don Hood. .

Cremation rites have been accorded. No services will be held. Please share memories and condolences online.
