Angelo A. Spataro

Angelo A. Spataro, 84, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Provena Cor Mariae Center.  Born February 25, 1924, in Rockford.  He is the son of Joseph and Rose (Lafasto) Spataro.  Angelo was self employed in auto parts sales.  He is a veteran of the Army, serving in WWII.  He attended St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.  Angelo is survived by his children, David (Mary Kay) Spataro,  Darren (Ginger) Albano, Sharon Barcellona, Kathleen Van Vleck, and Angela Smith-Kinlaw; 12 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; brother, Peter (Mary Kay) Spataro and sister, Susan Fasula. Predeceased by parents, great grandson, Anthony; sister Josephine; brothers, Sam, Raymond, and Frank.Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM, Thursday, May 15, 2008, in St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, IL 61102 with the Franciscan Friars officiating.  Burial in St Mary/ St. James Cemetery.  Visitation from 9 AM until service time at the church.  Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel 3910 N.
