Anna M. Alfano

Anna M. Alfano, 95, of Rockford, IL, passed away on Sunday, November 10, 2024. 

Anna was born on August 25, 1929, in Rockford, IL, daughter of Domenic and Sara (Russo) Bruno. She married Joseph Alfano on June 2, 1951. Anna was a lifelong member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, and hosting special occasions with her family. 

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Veda (John) Scarpetta of Savoy, IL; son, Domenic (Teresa) Alfano of Winnebago, IL; grandchildren, Gina Scarpetta, Nicholas (Erin) Scarpetta, Anthony (Lynsey) Alfano and Monica Alfano; great grandchildren, Lucy Bickett, Anthony Alfano, Alanna Alfano, Samantha Scarpetta, Maggie Scarpetta and Violet Tures; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her husband, Joseph Alfano. 

The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful staff of Grand Victorian and Transitions hospice for their exceptional care for Anna. 

Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, IL 61102 with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass. Entombment will conclude in Sunset Memorial Garden Mausoleum.
