Anna C. Doty 97, lifelong Rockford resident, died at 8:32 PM, Saturday February 10, 2007 at Springwood On Main.nbsp; Born September 28, 1909, the daughter of Joseph Brown and Anna (Burgert) Brown.nbsp; Anna graduated from Rockford High School in 1927.nbsp; Three years later, she married George A. Doty on January 31, 1930.nbsp; Anna worked as a secretary for the Winnebago Co. Courthouse in the Assessors Office for 25 years.nbsp; Later she worked part time for Accountronics, Inc. for several years before retiring.nbsp; Anna was a member ofnbsp; Aldersgate United Methodist Church and active in the Mary Martha Circle.nbsp; She was a long time faithful worker for the annual Aldersgate Corn Boil. Annas family was her whole life and they will always remember her wonderful sense of humor.nbsp; She is survived by her two daughters Georgia A. (Ronald) Bodda and Joanne L. (Lloyd) McNames, Rockford; grandchildren, Cindy (Ian) Linnabary of Roscoe, Susan (Michael) Zielinski of Rockford, Barbara (Mark) Bressler of South Beloit, Kimberley (Vince Smith) Gorham of Rockford, Geoffrey (Connie) McNames of Roscoe and Michele (Steve) Wirtz of Machesney Park; nbsp;nineteen great- grandchildren and 3 Great- great grandchildren; Sister; Lorraine E. Halvorsen and several nieces and nephews.nbsp; Anna is predeceased by her parents, her husband George on February 9, 1983 and her brothers; Joe and Walter Brown. The funeral services will be held at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Wednesday February 14, 2007 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dr. George David and Rev. Thomas Hardwick officiating.nbsp; A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church.nbsp; Burial in Willwood Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church.nbsp; Arrangements were provided by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
