Audrey A. Garske

Audrey A. Garske, 90 of Rockford passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family. Born March 29, 1919 in Rockford, the daughter of William and Jessie (Vant) Sansom. Audrey married Philip H. Phil Garske in Rockford on August 2, 1937. He predeceased her in 1993. She was a member of Rock Church and loved to cook, iron and embroider. She is survived by her daughters Bonnie Miller, Vicky (Kenneth) Rine, Betty (Donald) Rodd and Pamela (Bob) Barber. Grandchildren Wally, Karen, Melissa, Jeff, Donald, Colleen, Michelle, Kenny, Pam, Kelly and Kim. Brother Kenneth Sansom, 23 great-grandchildren, 2 great- great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, close friend Blanche Rodd and her faithful companion Little Buddy. She is predeceased by her husband, sisters Clara, Shirley and Annetta. Brothers Louis, Bob, Floyd and son-in-law Walter Miller. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2009 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103 with the Rev. John Sprecher of Rock Church and Pastor Bryan Robyn of the Church of the Open Bible officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service in the funeral home.
