B. K. Smith

B K Smith Jr., 88, Rockford passed away January 2, 2012, surrounded by his loving granddaughters Ashley and Courtney. Born June 3, 1923 in Greeneville, Tn.nbsp; Lived most of his adult life in Rockford. He was employed 32 years at Mechanics Universal Joint, Division of Borg Warner Corporation until his retirement in 1976. B.K. was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in both the European and Pacific theaters during WWII. He was a lifelong member of Moose, SMSF, LLLnbsp; Club, VFW and American Legion.

nbsp;B.K. is survived by sons, Jeff and Tom Smith of Rockford; brothers, Ivan Smith of Rockford, Glenn Smith of Knoxville, TN; sister, Evelyn Wilson of Greenville, TN; Numerous nieces and nephews.nbsp; Preceded in death by parents.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd with Pastor Billy Robertson of Victory Baptist Church officiating. Interment in New Milford Cemetery. Visitation from 5:00 nbsp;7:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Mulford Chapel and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Mulford Chapel.
