Bechita Rios de Encinas, 90, formerly of Oruro, Bolivia, died peacefully in her home on Sunday, January 31, 2016, in Rockford. She was born in Oruro, Bolivia on March 1, 1925; to parents David Rios and Raquel Gastelu de Rios. Bechita married her loving husband Humberto Encinas Aramayo, on May 31, 1943 in Bolivia. She took pride in her home and her family, where everything was kept neat and organized. Everything in its place, all of the time. She would often be found knitting, and with her talent, Bechita would make clothing for her loved ones. Bechita will always be remembered as loving mother and housewife.
She is survived by her children, Virginia Encinas Rios, and Alvaro (Magdalena Usuga) Encinas Rios, both of Rockford; grandson, Marcos Lara of Rockford; great granddaughter, Sandra Vaughn Lara of Rockford; sisters, Consuelo Catalano, of Bolivia, and Carmela Rios of the United States; brother, Mario Rios Gastelu of Bolivia.
Bechita is predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Humberto.
Funeral service will be at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, February 3, 2016; at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108; with visitation starting one hour prior to service. Burial will be private and on a later date.
