Betty Lou Kingsley, 80 Rockford Betty Lou Kingsley, 80, of Rockford died at 2:20am, Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center. Born May 28, 1926 in Aurora the daughter of Ted and Gertrude Ilseman. Married Jim Kingsley on October 17, 1945, in Kansas City, MO. As a young woman, Betty enjoyed showing horses and in 1939 was awarded the Best Girl Rider 17 or under at the International Live Stock Exposition, one of the three largest international shows. Betty devoted her time to raising her children. After they were grown, Betty obtained her real-estate license and spent many years working in Belvidere, helping people find just the right home. She was happiest when she was busy. She worked at Cherry Vale Mall at the information desk and also as a greeter at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory. Even with all her commitments, she made time for her family. We will miss her special "Hello" , her wonderful cooking and the great way she had of making each of us feel like something special. Other interests included; bingo, bridge, shopping and a good movie. Survivors include her children Ted (Terri) Kingsley of Gilbert, AZ., Linda (Gary) Bubnack of Stillman Valley and Sally (Bruce) Swanson of Roscoe; grandchildren Kiki (Scott) Britnell of Stillman Valley, Shannon (Paul) Satti of Sugar Grove, Casey Kingsley of Machesney Park, Erica, Kayla and Cori Swanson all of Roscoe, Emily, J.D. and Shay Bubnack all of Stillman Valley; great grandchildren Kenzie, Jackson and Griffin Britnell all of Stillman Valley, Luci Satti of Sugar Grove; brother Dick (Jeanne) Ilseman of Rockford. Predeceased by her husband Jim; and beloved son Randy. The family wishes to express our sincerest appreciation to the staff of Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center, Swedish American CCU and Northern Illinois Hospice & Grief Center. A visitation will be held from 11a.m. until 1p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2006 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Private family burial in Scandinavian Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Klehm Arboretum or Northern Illinois Hospice & Grief Center.
