Beverly D. Yunk, 53, of Machesney Park, died Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center with her family at her side. She was born December 12, 1960, in Rockford, the daughter of Junior and Diana (Pro) Foster. Beverly graduated from Jefferson High School and married Randy Yunk, her loving husband of 33 years. She was currently employed by Harlem High School in the office and enjoyed spending time in her back yard, working on flower beds and her vegetable garden. Beverly was a genuine person, full of love, laughter, and happiness who could light up a room when she walked in. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at OSF St. Anthony Cancer Center for all they have done for Beverly and to her very dear family and friends for always being there and helping out.
Survivors include her husband, Randy of Machesney Park; her daughter, Andrea (Brandon) McCauley of Rockford; son, Spencer (Andrea) Yunk of Loves Park; grandchildren, Oliver Yunk and Harrison McCauley; her parents; brother, Jeff (Julie) Foster of Rockford and sister, Sheila (Jack) Grable of Machesney Park.
Funeral Mass, Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. from 5-8 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 8 p.m. Visitation continues on Saturday at church from 9 a.m. until time of prayer at 9:45. Interment will be held in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Machesney Park.
