Both Kingsavanh, 76, of Rockford passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 in his home. Born July 12, 1940 in Laos to Saide, father and Sykhai, mother. Both was a tailor in Laos and Thailand so sewing and fixing clothes became his hobby. He came to the United States in 1983. He was a hard worker and worked two jobs to support his family. He worked at FPM/Ipsen Heat Treating for 26 years until retirement and was diagnosed with end stage renal disease the same year. When he was healthy, he cared for his grandchildren. Both was a loving, selfless and caring father and grandfather.
Survived by his daughter, Oday (Sean Weiler) Kingsavanh and Khambay (Ted) Scordato; grandchildren, Ava, Benjamin, Saylom and Logan Scordato and Santi Weiler as well as family in Laos. Predeceased by his wife, Nene Kingsavanh, brother, Kanhkeo Kingsavanh and sister, Kone Kingsavanh.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel. Burial in Scandinavian Cemetery on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Funeral service will be at noon on Saturday at Lao Evangelical Free Church.
