Carl Robert Bob Salamone, 77, Rockford, died at 6:40 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 in his home.nbsp; Born October 26, 1930 in Rockford, son of Samuel and Evelyn Uting Salamone.nbsp; Graduated from West High School in 1948.nbsp; Married Joanne Killeen on August 30, 1951.nbsp; Bob was self employed in the family businesses at Salamone amp; Son Market and the North Main Tavern.nbsp; Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.nbsp; He enjoyed playing golf, having lunches with his best buddies and loved his family about all else. nbsp; Survivors include his wife, Joanne; children, Jori Ann Salamone, Robert C. (Amy) Salamone and Julie Salamone; grandchildren, Renee Allen, Keith Gulbrantson, Joseph Salamone, Allison Salamone and Jenny Gulbrantson; great-grandchild, Jonah Allen; sister, Marjorie Ingwalson; nieces, Cindy Anderson and Jamie and Lisa Ingwalson. Predeceased by his parents and grandson, Robert C. Salamone.nbsp; Bobs family would like to thank the staff of OSF St. Anthony Hospice for the love and care that was given to him. nbsp; Funeral mass at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2008 in the Cathedral of St. Peter with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating.nbsp; Burial in St. Mary/St. James Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
