Carolyn L Brown

Rockford- Carolyn L. Brown, 53 of Rockford passed away at home, Wednesday, March 19, 2014 in her sleep after a long illness. Carolyn was born April 6, 1960 in Jacksonville, IL the daughter of William and Sharon Lyons. She graduated From Jefferson High School in 1978 and married her loving husband Jim Brown on May 13, 1989 who preceded her on March 16, 2011. Carolyn worked 23 years for the U.S. Postal Service. She loved spending time with her family, going to casino and playing games on her I-Pad. She will be missed by her family and her friends.
She is survived by her son, Jason (Kim) and grandchildren, Emma and Chase. Step Children Mindy (Katie) , Jamie (Adam, Christian and Rose), parents, William and Sharon Lyons, siblings, Tambra Turner (Brandon and Nicholas), Eddie Lyons (Bradley and Steven), Noel (Tammy) Lyons, Noel (Melissa) Lyons II (Olivia, Noel III and Parker), Courtney Lyons, Kimberly (Frank) Kittoe and very special nieces Sharlett and Clarissa Kittoe.
Memorial service Monday, March 24 at 3 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with visitation from 1-3 p.m. in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Walter Larson Children's Home, 1820 Walter Larson Dr, Loves Park, IL 61111.
