Chauncey E. Wright

Chauncey E. Wright, 51, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2023. Born on February 25, 1972 in Kenneth, Missouri, son to Edward and Patricia (Thatch) Wright. He went on to work for Target for over 17 years before working at Generac, where he was still working before his passing. He married his beloved wife, Heather Kolthoff, on December 5, 2004, in Iowa. Chauncey enjoyed sports, always cheering on the Dallas Cowboys or the Iowa Hawkeye football teams. When he couldn’t be found at work or watching football, Chauncey was at church. A lifelong Seventh-day Adventist, Chauncey was proudly a Deacon, later an Elder, and attended worship at Rockford Seventh-day Adventist Church.

He will be missed by those who loved him most, his wife of almost 19 years, Heather; his children Grace, Julianna, Jovei and Mallory; his parents Edward and Patricia of Burlington, Iowa; his brothers Kelynn (Shawna) Wright and Davondrian (Tyana) Wright of Burlington, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends. He is predeceased by both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Cremation rights have been accorded to Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Rockford Seventh-day Adventist Church, 325 N. Alpine Road, Rockford, Illinois 61107.
