Christina M. (Phelan) Northrup, 50, of Loves Park, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 in her home.nbsp; Born July 28, 1959, in Rockford, daughter of Michael R. and Mary E. Kuhl Phelan.nbsp; Graduated from Boylan High School in 1977 and attended Rock Valley College.nbsp; Member of Shepherd Of The Valley Lutheran Church.nbsp; She had previouslynbsp; been employed by BDO Seidman.nbsp; Prior to that she worked at Catholic Cemeteries and Cooper-Lybrand.nbsp; Chris was a kind and loving woman who was always generous and unselfish.nbsp; Her world revolved around her son and she was a great mom to him.
Survivors include her son, Matthew; parents, Mike and Mary Phelan; sister, Miki Bodoh; brother, Jeffrey Phelan; niece, Carissa Phelan; great-nephew, Tye Lee; great-niece, Anna Marie; aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, Linda Pozzi and Ron Kliver.nbsp; Predeceased by her grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Monday, April 26, 2010 in Shepherd Of The Valley Lutheran Church with Rev. Janet Wold officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 4-6 p.m. Sunday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.nbsp; Visitation also from 9 a.m. on Monday until time of the service at the church.nbsp; Memorials may be made to the family.nbsp; Condolences and memories can be shared at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
