Christine D. Moorman

Christine Diane Moorman, 75, of Rockford, passed away surrounded by her family on March 22, 2024, at Swedish American Hospital. She was born on September 20, 1948, in Sycamore, Illinois, the daughter of Roy and Wauneta (Littlejohn) Schwebke. She obtained her associates in social services and worked as a cashier at Schnucks Grocery Store. Chris enjoyed her time spent at home reading, doing puzzle books, and being with her cats. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Machesney Park. Above all, Chris loved her family and was a loving, quiet, and protective mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. 

She is survived by her children Wauneta (Chris) Volanti, Danielle (Carl) Cassaro, Jason (Anne) Moorman, and Darcie (Jason) Morgan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sister, Connie Heimann. She is predeceased by her parents; granddaughter, Shania Cassaro; and 2 brothers, Brian Lee and Larry Richard. 

The family would like to give a special thank you to the care team at PA Peterson and Staff in the CCU Unit B at Swedish American Hospital for their wonderful care of Chris.
