DARLENE H. Mc NULTY, 79, ROCKFORD, IL - Darlene "Dar" Helen Mc Nulty 79, of Rockford, IL passed on peacefully surrounded by her family to be with the Lord on November 24, 2013 after a long term illness. Dar was born on June 2nd, 1934 to John and Louise (Hocrath) Krischke in Rockford, IL. She graduated from Rockford West High School. Darlene worked for Barber Coleman Company where she was introduced to and later married Herbert "Mac" D. Mc Nulty on July 31st, 1954. They were married for 43 years until his death on July 11, 1997. Dar was the co-owner with Mac and secretary of Machine Shop & Supply until they retired. She loved spending time with her husband, daughter & son-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren and loved traveling with family members. Dar was an active member of United Lutheran Church. For many years she would stuff Easter eggs with candy for the Easter egg hunt, participated in the peanut butter drives at her church, and crocheted hundreds of winter hats for children in need. Dar had many passions; she loved her dogs, flowers, gardening, watching all the birds and animals in her backyard. The greatest passion she had was spending time with her family. She loved each and every one deeply. She is survived by her only daughter and son-in-law, Vicky (Brad) Welden; four grandchildren, Ryan (Rachel) Welden, Jamie Lynn Welden, Mychal (Justin) Lang, Paul (Jeanette) Welden; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel Welden, Levi Welden, Ephraim & Asher Welden, sister, Marie Erb and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all her doctors, the staff of RMH Cancer Center, Comfort Keepers and Hospice Care of America for caring for Dar. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 29, 2013 at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with Pastor Krista Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the servcie. Burial at Willwood Burial Park.
