David J. Mauk

David J. Mauk, 83, Roscoe, died Friday, March 25, 2011 in Swedish American Hospital. Born June 6, 1927 in Rockford, son of David V. and Helene M. McKillip Mauk. Graduated from St. Thomas High School in 1948 and from Drake University School of Pharmacy in 1952. Married Charlotte A. Wessels on April 18, 1953. David was a pharmacist in the Rockford area for a number of years. Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; son, David G. Mauk, Roscoe; sisters, Marjorie (Charles) Owens, Machesney Park, Joan Gilbert, Hagerstown, MD and Anna Cooling, Waukesha, WI; brothers, Robert W. (Kay) Mauk, Ireland, Lewis J. (Kay) Mauk, Pecatonica and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev. David Poust officiating.
