David E. Link

David Earl Link, 78, of Janesville, Wisconsin, passed way from natural causes on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. A Vietnam veteran and proud Wisconsinite, David was known for his deep love of family, fierce competitive spirit, and lifelong devotion to the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks. David happily spent his winters in Naples, Florida and summers in Rockford, Illinois.

He was the loving father of David (Geraldine), Jason (Stacie), and Ryan Link; a cherished grandfather to Sophie, Charles, Jase, Brooke, Kylie, Alexa, Myles, and Ella. He is survived by his fiancée, Terri Franklin, and sister, Donna Simunaci. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Joseph Link, and sister Gloria Bollerud.

A wonderful father, a coach, and a diehard sports fan, David lived with grit, humor, and discipline- doing daily push-ups and sit-ups, a habit instilled during his military service. He also found joy and competition on the fairways of Cypress Woods Golf Course in Florida, where he never backed down from a challenge.

David lived fully, with purpose and heart. He was a loyal friend to many and will be deeply missed by anyone who had the good fortune to know him.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service, 12:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
