Diann P. Wardle

Diann Patricia Wardle, 80, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born on November 18, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Wynford (Jorgensen) Gunton. Diann was a teacher for many years for the Rockford School District, teaching at John Nelson Elementary School, and retiring from Gregory Elementary School. She received her master’s degree in education from National Louis University. She enjoyed playing golf and volleyball.

Diann is survived by her daughter, Dana Wardle; she is predeceased by her parents. She had many loving pets during her lifetime, especially her precious golden retrievers, Sunny and Bear.
