Dolores A. Cuppini

Dolores A. Cuppini, 85 of Rockford died on Tuesday, July 01, 2014 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born November 10, 1928 in Sterling the daughter of Clestino and Maria (Bianchi) Pro. Was a graduate of Sterling High School and perused her career as a beautician working for her sister at Lucy's Beauty Shop. Married her loving husband Geno Cuppini on September 9, 1950 who preceded her in death on May 29, 1994. A devoted member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and was very passionate about her cooking. She loved baking Italian cookies, crocheting, knitting, reading and bus trips, but most of all she cherished her time with family and friends and especially her grandchildren. Dolores wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to her team of Dr's., Dr. Racanelli, Dr. Nowak and Dr. Roy and a special thank you to her niece and nephew, Janie and Mario Decastris.
Survivors include her children, Geno (Nan) Cuppini of Rockford, Maria (Denis) Bermingham of Rockford and Michael (Julie) Cuppini of Bloomington; grandchildren, Clestina Cuppini, Charles (Meaggan) Bermingham, Timothy Cuppini, Therese (Fiancé Matt Brinkman) Bermingham, Candice Cuppini and Christopher Cuppini; sisters-in-law; Lucy Pro and Antoinette Nicosia and numerous nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Geno; grandson, Joseph G. Cuppini and her siblings, Lucy (John) Cuppini, Fred (Amelia)Pro, Peter (Louise) Pro and Oresti Pro.
Funeral Mass Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. with visitation from 9 a.m. until time of prayer at 10:15 a.m. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
