Dolores 'Dee Dee" Krajewski

December 13, 1930 — March 12, 2024

Lindenhurst

Dolores Krajewski (Noviski), age 93, passed away peacefully at Victory Lakes Senior Living Center in Lindenhurst, IL. Dee Dee was born to her parents, Edward and Sally Noviski, in Chicago and raised in Marion, IN along with her dear sister Bernice Terhune (Noviski) who preceded her in death by 3 days.

She attended Ladywood High School in Indianapolis (Class of ‘47) and then graduated from Rosary College in River Forest, IL (Class of ‘51) where she met her beloved life partner, John “Jack” Krajewski. They were married on November 24, 1951, and were blessed with four children: Judy (Lynn) Henderson (deceased), Cliff (Amy, deceased) Krajewski, Casey (Vilija) Krajewski and Paul Krajewski. Loving Grandmother to Ellyn (Tyler) Dove, Andrew, Natalie (Joe) Krajewski-Fassl, Eric Henderson, Lidija (deceased), Christian, Tomas, and Daniel. Great-grandmother to Lily Dove.

Settling in Hinsdale, IL, Dee Dee raised her family, worked and was an active member of St. Isaac Jogues Church and School. A champion of family activities, she loved camping and time spent at Lake Tippecanoe, IN. She was the guiding force behind each of her children’s successes in life.

Looking for a slower pace, Dee Dee and Jack retired to Lake Summerset near Durand, IL. They were quickly welcomed into the community and found a home at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Always active, she played a great game of golf and you wanted her to be your partner when playing Bridge. She also enjoyed her many great friends, gardening, swimming, traveling, sewing, crafting and bocce ball.

After Jack’s passing in 2016, she moved to Victory Lakes Senior Living Center to be closer to her children. She continued to embrace life attending mass and playing bridge games with cherished friends.

Dee Dee will be remembered as a loving mother/grandmother and devoted wife of 65 years. She always provided warmth, comfort and direction and her legacy of love endures in the hearts of all who knew her.
