Donald E. Higgins, 56, of Rockford, died on October 23, 2007 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.nbsp; Donald was born on February 2, 1951 in Rockford the son of Ernest and Mae (Clankie) Higgins.nbsp; Donald married Peggy Follis on December 5, 1998 in Rockford. nbsp; Donald had worked as a laborer in the construction industry.nbsp; He loved working on cars, motorcycles and trucks and especially loved spending time with his family. nbsp; Donald is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughter, Destiny; his grandsons, Donny and Jim; his seven sisters, Sharon (Ed) Yarbrough, Donna Ruch, Vivian (John) Weirmen; Diane (Ken) Arnold; Jane (Mike) Moore; Jean (Rick) Claeyssen and Karen (Don) Schmoll; His four brothers, Ron and Gary Higgins and Howard and Richard Bean; his special friend, Larry (Cindy) Pope, special niece Kelly Ackerson (Mark Proper) and many nieces and nephews.nbsp; Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Roger Bean and his four sons, Danny, Donny, Jim and Jer. nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 12 p.m. (Noon) at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Rev.
