Dorothy May Hermanson

Dorothy Hermanson 90 of Rockford passed away Saturday June 28, 2014 in Wesley Willows. She was born February 18, 1924 in Rockford, the daughter of Bob and Gladys Heins. She married George Hermanson in Rockford on March 8, 1947. George predeceased her on July 28, 2013. She retired from Barnes Drill Co. Member of ST Patrick Church. Dorothy had a love and passion for all animals, especially cats.
Survivors include her nieces, Norma (Jack) Lucas, Judith Heins, Janet Heins and Rebecca Box. Great nieces, Christine (Steven) Gustafson and Michael (Patti) Lucas. Great great nieces, Jennifer and Amy Lucas. Predeceased by her parents, husband George, Brother, Bob and Sister-in-law Carol.
Services at 11am Thursday July 3, 2014 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 10am until service time Thursday in the funeral home.
