ROCKFORD—Eleanor (Eleanora) R. Newell, 79, died at Amberwood Care Center on October 29, 2013. Eleanor had been born on September 21, 1934 in Rockford to Angelo and Onarata Biasin. She was devoted to the Catholic Faith and the Traditional Latin Mass. A graveside service will be performed by Canon Brian Bovee at St. Mary's/St. James Cemetery (917 Auburn St., Rockford) at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 7. Memorials may be made for Masses for the repose of Eleanor's soul. Arrangements are being handled by Fitzgerald & Associates, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av.
