Elizabeth R. Zygowicz

Elizabeth Rosalie "Liz" Zygowicz, 69, Rockford, passed away Friday, September 21, 2012, at Provena Cor Mariae Center. She was born March 8, 1943, in Chicago, the daughter of John V. and Rose (Jakubiak) Zygowicz. Liz was past director of the clinical lab for United Technologies in Hartford, Connecticut and later a real estate agent for the Prudential in Farmington, Connecticut. After moving to Rockford, she was the Director of Pastoral Care at Provena Cor Mariae for the last 5 years.Survived by her sister, Rosalie (Joseph) Cieply of Melrose Park; her brother, John P. Zygowicz of Wauconda; niece, Jennifer (Jason) Barney; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by her parents and a brother, Peter J. Zygowicz.Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Provena Cor Mariae Center, 3330 Maria Linden Dr. with Fr. William R. Wentink officiating.
