Erwin "Erv" M. Schneider

Erwin "Erv" M. Schneider, 87, of Rockford passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2014 at Wesley Willows Nursing Center. Born August 7, 1927, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Matt and Helen (Kraemer) Schneider. Erv was a veteran serving in the United States Navy on the LST 596. He married Jeannette Semrich on November 11, 1950 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Watertown, Wisconsin. Erv worked at Sundstrand as a Financial Advisor for many years. He was a member of St. Anskar's Episcopal Church. Erv was a Mason and a member of Lodge #102.
Survived by his wife, Jeannette; sons, Scott (Jeannie) Schneider and Steve Schneider; grandchildren, Christopher and Cory Schneider, Samantha (Brandon) Opheim, Barbara (David) Berard, Brian (Stacy) Lawrence and Sandra (Jeremy) Brown; great-grandchildren, Lilly & Joshua Brown, Lukas Opheim, Jackson and Brooklyn Schneider and soon to be baby Berard. Predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at St. Anskar's Episcopal Church, 4801 Spring Creek Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery, Watertown, Wisconsin at a later date.
