Eulalia "Lala" Avila

Eulalia "Lala" Fregoso-Avila, of Rockford, IL, at 52 years of age, passed to be in the arms of the Lord on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Born March 13, 1971, in Rockford, IL, to Sabina Delgado and Agustin Fregoso. Married and devoted to Joseias "Pache" Avila, on August 29, 2004.

Lala is survived by her sisters, Maria "Vicky" Fregoso, Chela Martinez, Rosalba Fregoso, Olga Ortiz, Pola Avila, Coco Rodriguez, her brother, Augustin Fregoso JR, her husband, Joseias "Pache" Avila, her daughter, Kristina (Omar) Rodriguez, her four sons, Jose "Junior" Rodriguez , Fernando Rodriguez, Guadalupe "Lupe Rodriguez, Joseias "Pachequito" Avila JR, her grandchildren, Omar Guerrero JR, Kattie "Seb" Guerrero, Kamilah Guerrero, Aaron Guerrero, Valdemar Guerrero, her numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her father.

Lala was a gift to those around her. She was a selfless woman, even with problems of her own, she wouldn't hesitate to listen and help by giving the best advice she had to offer. Lala was devoted to family and friends, never missing a chance to make those she loves laugh, dance, or sing. She was full of love and good energy, both of which would radiate off of her and spread to those she loves and those who love her back. Lala was a beautiful soul, and even though she will not be here physically to give us love, advice, laughter, faith, and encouragement, Heaven will not prevent her from that, she will still speak to us through our hearts and our minds, she will guide us, and lead us down the correct path.

Lala was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. As we mourn our loss, we have full faith and take solace in the knowledge that Lala has Jesus by her side, and has started her journey to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2023 with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford, IL 61103. A funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St. Rockford, IL 61109. Burial will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
