Florence Hawn

Florence E. Hawn, 89, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday October 23, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.nbsp; She was born September 14, 1923 in Onawa, Iowa; daughter of Harry and Bessie Butcher.nbsp; She moved to Rockford in 1940 where she met and married Gordon Hawn on They celebrated 65 years of marriage before Gordons passing in 2008.nbsp; Florence was proud of the work she performed at Barber Coleman, for the war effort.nbsp; nbsp;nbsp;She was a member of the Moose and of SMSF Clubs.nbsp; Florence was an avid bowler and a malcontented Cubs fan.nbsp; In retirement she enjoyed countless hours of Yahtzee with Gordy..nbsp;

Survivors include her children, Carol (Curtis) Spangler of Roscoe and Peggy (Richard) Dach of Loves Park, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one brother, Clarence Butcher.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents; husband, Gordon and brothers and sisters and infant grandson.nbsp; A special thank you to her caregiver Troy Roper.
