Fred J. Whitmire

Fred Whitmire Jr., 75 of Rockford died February 7, 2007. Born January 2, 1932 in Arkansas, the son of Fred Whitmier Sr., and Rollie (Quarry) Whitmire. Fred was a member of the Eagles Club of Rockford for years. Fred enjoyed being outdoors and playing the guitar. Survivors include his children Charlotte, Fred and Victor (Linda) Whitmire. Grandchildren Nathan, Rebecca and Lisa. Siblings Betty (Brian) Flynn, Roy Whitmire and Debra Jones. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Virgie, grandchildren Brandon Whitmire and Felicia Lowder Seyler and great-grandchild Jullian Seyler. Also preceded in death by his parents. Funeral will be held at 1:00 PM February 10, 2007 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home. Interment will be in Arlington Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 until time of service at 1:00 PM in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 South Mulford Road.
