Ginger Lenoa Vellourys

Ginger L. Vellourys, AKA Genette Peterson, 70, Rockford, IL, passed away on January 16, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1951 in Stanley, WI, the daughter of Clayton Earl and Georgia Lenoa (Neurnberg) Peterson.

Ginger was a woman of deep faith. She enjoyed writing stories of her childhood and gathering genealogical family information. She kept in touch with family by writing and especially sending birthday wishes. She had a kind, patient and caring manner with other residents at River Crossing, her home for the past 6 years.

Ginger is survived by her siblings, Robert Peterson, Mitzi Moore, Charlie Peterson and Donna Hyser. Preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Roberta Williams, Pat Beinlich, Clay Peterson, Jr. and Doreen Cybulski.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at River Crossing of Rockford.
