Gregory Alan Lindstrom

Gregory Alan Lindstrom, 62 a of Rockford, died unexpectedly Thursday, May 21, 2009 in his home. Born November 22, 1946 the son of Richard and Francis (Price) Lindstrom. A United States Veteran of the Marine Corps Honorably discharged February 10, 1972 , Corporal (E-4). Married Cris Robbins-McCormack on November 10, 1978 in Zion Lutheran Church. Worked several years as a mechanical engineer for Greenlee Brothers before moving to Michigan where he retired in 2002. He lived in Michigan for 20 years moving back to Rockford just 2 years ago. He was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, especially Khloe. Survivors include his wife, Cris of Machesney Park; son, Erik (Rena) Lindstrom of Machesney Park; daughter, Laura (Kevin) Coffman of Dixon, step son, Robert (Karen) McCormack of Rockton; grandchildren, Courtney, Brandon, Mallory, Robert, Nicholas, Matthew, Ashley, Khloe and one on the way; brothers, Richard Lindstrom of Roscoe and Doug Lindstrom of Fort Meyers, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law Kathy Lindstrom. Funeral service Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. James Moore of Riverside Assembly of God officiating. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
