Harold Stebner

Harold Stebner, 83, of Rockford passed away peacefully Friday, February 8, 2013 at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center.
Born February 6, 1930 in Saint Paul, Minnesota; the son of William and Emma )Pubanz) Stebner.
Graduate of Byron High School, Class of 1948.
He married Virginia Harmon.
Harold was a veteran of World War II serving in the Army.
He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier for 35 years.
He loved being outside, therefore, appriecated being a Letter Carrier.
Harold attended First Evangelical Covenant Church. He enjoyed camping and fishing with his family.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Swedish American Hospital and to Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center for their kind and compassionate care for Harold.

He is survived by his son, Brian (Melanie) Stebner of Garland, TX and Randall Stebner; grandson, Rory; greatgrandchildren, Chase and Cash; sisters, Liesara (Don) Bergman of Rockford and Gwen Champion of Colorado Springs, CO and brotherinlaw, Orvin Bergsmith of Lake Summerset.
Predeceased by his parents, wife, Virginia; sister, Eunice Bergsmith; brotherinlaw, Bill Champion.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2013 in the chapel at Fairhaven Christian Retirement Center with Pastor Arnold Conrad officiating. Burial will be in Byron Cemetery at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013.
