Rockford—Hazel Jean Domski, 88 of Rockford, died Monday, June 2, 2014 at St. Anne Center. Born August 19, 1925 in Rockford, Illinois to Emery and Helen (Baker) Palmer. Attended Rockford West High School and St. Anthony School of nursing. Entered nurses trainging as a cadet nurse during WWII. Married John Domski in Rockford, Il on June 28, 1947 in Rockford. Employed as a Registered Nurse in many different facilities most recently retiring from Rockford Surgical Services. Member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, and of St. Stanislaus women's league, a charter member of Visiting nurses Auxilary and Winnebago Child Protection agency.
Survivors; Children, J. Craig (Barb) of Omaha, NE, Steve (Sandy) Torrance of CA, Daniel (Michelene) of Rockford, David (Marvel) of Long Beach, CA, Lori (Jeff) Swanson of Belvidere and Lisa (Todd) Schroeder of Winnebago; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents, brother, Husband John and Grandson David Swanson. Special thanks to the staff at Provena St. Annes for their loving care, especially Kris, Amy, Amanda, and so many others. Also the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice.
Funeral Service 11 am Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road, with visitation from 10 to 10:45 am Sunday at the funeral Home.
